A nice way to build connections and friendships with neighbours is sitting down and chatting over hot drinks and snacks, say local seniors who have been doing just that for the last several weeks.
The Coffee Connections Group meets every Thursday from 10-11 a.m. inside the Tea Room at McArthur Place in Lac La Biche.
In addition to giving Lac La Biche County seniors an opportunity to catch up with each other for some friendly conversation, the group — that meets year-round — is also designed to enable members to network with one another and even listen to guest speakers such as doctors and lawyers who occasionally attend the casual meetings.
The informal, weekly get-togethers are held on a drop-in basis.
