November 22 at the Bold Center is the night set aside to recognize the movers and shakers, dealers and wheelers, smilers and helpers of the local business world as the Lac La Biche and District Chamber of Commerce hosts the Evening of Excellence.
Chamber of Commerce interim President Reuel Thomas says the night is a celebration of regional business achievement, as well as an opportunity for the business sector to mix and mingle.
“We have awards and a great meal planned and presentations, and while all of that is what make the night a celebration, it’ s the networking and the fun that make it a great night,” said Thomas, explaining that 22 awards are up for grabs, including customer service, new business and employee of the year.
Entertaining as it will be to see many local retailers and business people accept their awards, the night will also feature comedian Bob Beddow. Listed as a clean, corporate comedian, Thomas says the Edmonton-based funnyman will keep the smiles going all night
“It’ s a night out and we want to make it a night to remember for everyone in the community.”
Tickets for the show are still available and can be purchased for $50 at The Brick, the Chamber office and the Regional Community Development Corporation office in Lac La Biche.
“With this kind of a big gala event, it doesn’ t matter if you receive and award or not,” said Thomas. “Everyone’ s a winner at this one.”
