The spirit of Christmas is alive and well inside Lac La Biche's Bold Center at the 13th annual Lac La Biche Festival of Trees.
A room of more than 60 decorated trees, some adorned with prizes and gifts certificates totalling hundreds of dollar, will be awarded to lucky raffle prize winners at the end of the event that also features a visit from Santa, festive activities, a two day home-craft market, and the Fabulous North American Art Exhibit and Sale, hosted by the Lac La Biche Art Club.
The festive, family weekend event started on November. 23 and runs until November 26.
On Friday morning, people were checking out the wonderland of brilliantly coloured and decorated trees set up inside the Bold Centre Community Hall. The trees — 68 in total — were donated by local businesses and individuals, with each tree having its own special theme and decorations.
Tree raffle for charity
Tickets for the tree raffle are available at the Bold Center for a dollar a-piece or $20 for a book of 20 tickets. Proceeds from the sale of the tickets is re0-distributed to local community groups, including the ones that voluteer over the wekeend.
The Fabulous North Art Exhibition and Sale, organized by the Lac La Biche Art Club, got underway at 10 a.m. this morning and goes until 5 p.m.
