LAC LA BICHE - The season for the Lac La Biche Curling Club wrapped up last weekend with the annual mixed bonspiel. The event, which started Thursday evening at the Bold Center and concluded on Sunday, featured 24 teams mostly from the Lac La Biche area, but also a few from other parts of the Lakeland region.
There were A, B, and C divisions, with each team being guaranteed three games. The playoffs got underway on Sunday with 12 teams competing against each other in the semifinals. The finals featured six teams (two from each of the divisions). The Rodney Oulette rink took the A Event title, the Dan Leach team won the B event and the Mike Teeter rink took the C. Winning teams received cash prizes.
