The 2024 season for the Lac La Biche Farmers' Market kicked off Friday at the Lakeland Agricom from 3-5:30 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, people came to the market to see the products that were being displayed and sold by 27 vendors who came from the Lac La Biche region, St. Paul, Cold Lake, and other areas. These products included jewelry, baked goods, fresh vegetables, toys, natural products, as well as clothing and blankets.
The final Farmers' Markets of 2023 took place during the first few weeks of December in the form of the traditional Christmas markets that are held each year. According to Bev Tkachuk, manager of the Lac La Biche Farmers' Market, this year, depending on weather, the market will go outside to the adjacent pavilion, where is it customarily held during the warmer months.
Easter eggs
On Friday, March 29, the pavilion will be the site of an Easter egg hunt which begins at 2:30 p.m., half an hour before the market opens.
