LAC LA BICHE - Youth were given the opportunity to learn the basics of gymnastics during a drop-in event that took place Tuesday afternoon at the Bold Center and was hosted by the Lac La Biche Gymnastics Society.
The fun session, which taught kids skills such as backflips, cartwheels, rolling and balancing, was also a way of keeping interest in the local gymnastics club, which had to close the doors of its gym area last month, and continues to look for a new home. The club had been operating out of the Key-Way-Tin Bible Camp property located just two kilometres east of downtown Lac La Biche since 2017.
The Lac La Biche Gymnastics Society will be holding another drop-in event at the Bold Center on April 16. Club officials are continuing to look for a new, permanent space.
