LAC LA BICHE - On Sunday, as St. Patrick’s Day events took place around the globe, senior residents of Lac La Biche's Lacalta Lodge joined with community members to host their own tribute to this day of celebrating Irish heritage, culture, and history.
Residents and visitors-many of whom were dressed in green for the March 17 occasion-gathered at the seniors’ facility for an afternoon of song and storytelling. Members of the Boreal Chorus, a local community choir, sang Irish-themed songs. In keeping with the theme of St. Patrick’s Day, the event also included a lunch offering snacks such as cupcakes with green icing.
