PLAMONDON - Over 20 youth in Lac La Biche made a trip down to Plamondon to join local teens last Thursday evening to participate in an Amazing Race style game hosted by Family and Community Support Services' (FCSS). The Teen Social Club group were broken into six groups and scoured the hamlet to complete over two dozen tasks between 6-8 p.m.
From finding landmarks in the hamlet, doing dance challenges and completing grocery store tasks at the Plamondon CO-OP, the youth had to document every task on their cellphones to come out on top. The friendly competition - mirrored after the internationally renowned hit TV show the Amazing Race - was an opportunity for the youth to brain storm, get out of their comfort zone and win some prizes, said Christine Martin, FCSS Community Outreach Worker.
