LAC LA BICHE - On Friday and Saturday, 48 women curlers from the Lac La Biche region and beyond competed against each other on12 teams at the annual Ladies Bonspiel. The event, which is hosted by the Lac La Biche Curling Club, got underway Friday evening.
The bonspiel ran on a regular format, with teams competing in A, B, and C events. Each team was guaranteed three games. The finals took place Saturday evening, with the top six teams eligible to win cash prizes.
The bonspiel also featured door prizes donated by local businesses and community sponsors as well as a raffle draw. The Lac La Biche Curling Club will be holding its Mixed Bonspiel from April 4-7.
