LAC LA BICHE - Stone Soup, a food rescue initiative operated by Community Learning Lac La Biche, opened its doors on Boxing Day after being closed on Dec. 25. Kevin and Kathryn Pederson, volunteers with Stone Soup, were busy serving clients but also sorting through this large quantity of bread, much of which was donated by local grocery stores.
Stone Soup is open from Monday to Friday throughout the year, with the exception of Christmas Day. It offers donated food items to community residents in need, this includes a variety of foods provided by local businesses, community organizations, as well as individuals.
