LAC L A BICHE - The Active Kids for Homeschoolers afternoon program provides children with opportunities to further develop their gross motor skills through fun, active game play in a supportive environment, says Jordan Green, a recreation programmer with Lac La Biche County.

Green continued by saying that the program, which takes place from 1-3 p.m. at the Bold Centre on Wednesdays until Nov. 29, focuses on engagement in a variety of cooperative games designed to promote improved social and physical literacy.

“Additionally, the participants will be introduced to a sport or team sport to pique their interest and boost their confidence in order to participate in recreational play, or other sports-related programs or teams,” she explained.

Each week, the Active Kids for Homeschoolers program is planned around a sport and related skill development.

“This program is an opportunity to connect with other homeschoolers, have fun, and expand their physical literacy in a supportive environment,” Green stated.

The Active Kids for Homeschoolers program is aimed at children aged 6-12 and costs $96. For more information, please contact the Bold Centre.
