Teen Chill Zone offers local youths Marvel comic trivia, music poker

From Wolverine to Wonderwall, teens trivia tested on music and Marvel at Teen Chill Zone

A group of Lac La Biche and area teens had fun while testing their knowledge of the 'Marvel Comics Universe' as well as 1980s and 1990s pop music at the Teen Chill Zone event held Friday night at the Bold Centre.

The trivia night was hosted by Lac La Biche County FCSS, with G&C DJ Services leading the teen-teams that had assembled inside the Community Hall for the trivia and music contests. Following dinner, the trivia portion of the evening got underway with seven, 10-question rounds of questions the teens entered through a cell-phone app. After each round, the answers were submitted and checked, with the prize going to the team with the most correct answers.

Following trivia, the kids ... and a few adults who’d joined them for the evening ... put their heads to work once again through four rounds of music trivia that was played using a bingo-like board.

Winners had an assortment of prizes to choose from including a lava lamp, board games, art supply kits, and gift cards, all of which were purchased from local businesses.

The FCSS Teen Zone events will take a break through the holidays, returning again with regular sessions in 2024.
