Elections Canada clarifies office roles and voting locations in article

Elections Canada offices in Cold Lake and Lac La Biche for voter information, no Pirate Party on the list

Clarification:

Elections Canada has clarified a comment in this article regarding the Elections offices and voting stations:

From Elections Canada:

The comment that offices are not voting stations is not quite correct. Rather, electors can vote at any Elections Canada office up to Sept. 14th at 6 pm.
If they choose to vote at advance polls or at a poll on election day, they must go to the polling station that is on their voter information card that will be coming in the mail by September 10th.
Voters can also apply to vote by mail by visiting elections.ca or calling 1-800-463-6868.

Elections Canada information offices have been set up in Cold Lake and Lac La Biche in the lead-up to the Sept. 20 federal election. The Lakeland office are in addition to the main office in Fort McMurray for electors in the Fort McMurray-Cold Lake federal riding.

The Lac La Biche office is located on the south-east corner of the 103 Street and 101 Ave intersection in the former Orion Building. The Cold Lake Elections Canada office is located at Suite 100 - 4910-50 Ave.

The Fort McMurray Elections Canada office is located at 427 Gregoire Drive, Suite 202.

Look for signs

All offices are open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. Each office has Elections Canada signage on windows and doors to identify the location.

(* See clarification and information update above) The offices are not voting stations, as Elections Canada has yet to release the locations for the federal vote in the riding.

The federal election will be held on Monday, Sept. 20.

Arr, no pirates
