Bonnyville, Cold Lake see increase in active cases

St. Paul and Lac La Biche areas see decrease in number of active COVID-19 cases

LAKELAND - Active COVID-19 cases in the Bonnyville and Cold Lake regions has increased since the province's last report. 

According to the provincial map, there are five active cases in both the Bonnyville region and the Cold Lake region, as of Thursday at noon,

The St. Paul (Saddle Lake and surrounding St. Paul County) region has seen a decrease in active cases, with six reported cases being deemed active, and a total of 47 recovered cases since the pandemic began.

The Lac La Biche region, which hasn't seen many active cases, was at its highest last week, with three active cases, but is now down to two active cases.

The Smoky Lake region sits at three active cases, and Athabasca has six active cases of the virus. 

Alberta’s chief medical officer of health and officials is expected to provide an update on COVID-19 today at 3:30 p.m.
