BOSCOMBE – The Boscombe 4-H Multi Club held its Achievement Day on May 23 featuring a series of livestock shows and also a poultry sale.
Members of the club had the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they learned or refined over the past year, which include grooming animals, showmanship, and cattle judging, said club leader Randal Kuzma.
Following the Achievement Day, the club also hosted its inaugural Rabbit and Chicken Show and Sale, headed by the club's small animal leader, Jules Malo.
While this would be the first time the club held such an event, Kuzma said, "It was very successful."
The club's Cleaver Kids, who are members aged six to eight, also showcased the projects they have been working on, which involved small animal projects.
The day included a tribute to former leader Ron Wirsta, who was honoured for his over two decades of service to 4-H.
Kuzma thanked all sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who came out during the day to support the club. It's not easy to organize the event, "But the way everyone came together," to ensure the day's success, "It was very special," he said.
He also expressed his pride to all club members, admiring their dedication and hard work.
"They should all be very proud of themselves for the skills they learned, and the time and dedication they put in to raising, caring, and training the animals," said Kuzma.
