BREAKING: Police search for suspect following alleged kidnapping, missing woman found safe

A woman who was reported missing on Tuesday following a suspected abduction has been found safe, according to police.

GOODFISH LAKE - A woman who was reported missing on Tuesday following a suspected abduction in Goodfish Lake has been found safe, according to RCMP.

Theresa Coutre, 26, was reported missing after police were called to a residence in Goodfish Lake during the afternoon of Oct. 10. When RCMP arrived, they saw signs that the occupant of the home had been taken against her will and was missing. 

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was dispatched to the community to assist with the investigation. On Wednesday evening, police sent out an update stating the 26-year-old woman was located safe, but 33-year-old Shelby Jackson was still being sought by police.

Jackson is described as a man with medium complexion, black hair, and brown eyes. He is 5'8" in height and weighs about 230 lbs.

"Shelby Jackson is considered armed and dangerous, if seen do not approach, call 911 immediately," say police.
