ST. PAUL - RCMP have confirmed that a 74-year-old man has died in a house fire that occurred in the St. Paul area.
"The investigation is still on going at this time. We are waiting for the fire report and medical examiner report," according to Cst. Monnika Fehr of the St. Paul RCMP.
The St. Paul Fire Department (SPFD) also confirmed it attended a residential structure fire, last night (Feb. 16), and that the fire resulted in a fatality.
"SPFD is in charge of the investigation and will be involved in determining the cause and origin over the next few days," said Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich.
The fire occurred within the County of St. Paul.
