Cold Lake Court

COLD LAKE - James Neil Morrison, a former Lakeland Catholic School Division (LCSD) teacher charged with voyeurism and child pornography-related offences will provide his plea during his next court appearance July 28.

Morrison, a 33-year-old Cold Lake resident, was in court on Wednesday, July 14 to speak to charges that stem from an RCMP investigation in late-April.

Police began investigating the local school teacher following a complaint of alleged voyeurism that had occurred at an area high school.

As a result, Morrison was arrested and charged with voyeurism and making/printing/publishing child pornography. He was released from police custody.

Morrison has been suspended from LCSD until all court matters have been concluded. The local school division has hired their own investigator who is looking into the allegations.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 28 at the Cold Lake Provincial Courthouse.
