Glendon hosts annual Christmas Concert despite cold weather

Glendon students hit the stage on Wednesday to perform for family and friends ahead of the Christmas break.

GLENDON - Students at Glendon School took turns taking the stage on Dec. 21, as the school went ahead with its Christmas concert despite extreme cold weather outside.

The concert was presented by the school's Glendon News Network 6 (GNN6), where they also reported fictional happenings in the Village of Glendon related to Christmas in between songs and music, much to the glee of the audience.

GNN6 was started by the school's Grade 6 teacher Daniel Rogers with his students, according to principal Maureen Ference, which is a weekly newscast covering news stories in the Village of Glendon.

The concert was moved to a day-time event, rather than an evening event in consideration of the weather. To finish the concert, students of all levels sang in unison for the finale.
