BONNYVILLE - Michie Lester, 11, Diesel Young, 11, and Kenley Lester, 10, organized an iced tea stand during the evening of Sept. 9 in Bonnyville, raising funds for the Bonnyville SPCA.
Along with offering iced tea for sale, the kids also gave away free chocolate bars to anyone who purchased a drink. While they didn't set a price per cup, they did ask community members for donations to the chosen cause.
"I was completely surprised by how generous our community was. It made my heart very happy to see the kids interacting with the public," says Kimberly Lester.
By the end of the evening, the trio had rased $109.
