Lakeland again under extreme cold warning

C-c-c-c-cold weather continues across region

The Lakeland region is again under an Extreme Cold Weather Warning issued late this afternoon by Environment Canada. Lakeland communities, including Lac La Biche, Bonnyville, Plamondon, St. Paul, Elk Point and Cold Lake are in the current warning area.

The warning is expected to remain in effect through the weekend.

Many other parts of the province are included in similar weather warnings through the weekend as a cold weather front continues to sit over much of Western Canada.

The week's forecast shows temperatures warming by Thursday, with daily highs making it to the minus single digits.

In the next few days, Environment Canada warns residents to use caution when going outdoors.
