ST. PAUL - Residents may have noticed construction taking place on the east end of St. Paul, with heavy machinery in place and dirt being moved over the last week.

Town of St. Paul Director of Planning and Legislative Services Aline Brousseau confirms that a development permit was approved in January of this year for a three-unit commercial stand-alone building.

"This building will be situated in between the existing Sobeys and Canadian Tire, although almost in line with the existing Sobeys Liquor," explains Brousseau.

Two businesses have been confirmed for the stand-alone unit. On the far north side, there will be space for a new Kentucky Fried Chicken with a drive-thru.

On the south side of the building will be an Edo Japan.

The middle space will be general retail, with a tenant yet to be determined.
