Residents take part in national celebration of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope

ST. PAUL - While this year's Terry Fox Run in St. Paul didn’t include an official gathering, a group of people still took to the usual route, fundraising and creating awareness on Sept. 20.

Signs were placed throughout the south portion of town on Sunday afternoon, and people were encouraged to run, walk or bike the route. This year’s theme encouraged people to complete the run on their own, in their own way, as a way to keep everyone safe during the current pandemic.

Janna Zarowny and Leslie Bodnar were on hand selling 40th anniversary themed merchandise at the start of the route. Zarowny said about 40 people completed the route in St. Paul, but many others did the run entirely on their own.
