ST. PAUL - Calling all artists! The St. Paul & District Arts Foundation is hosting a fundraiser for Ukraine tomorrow night (April 22) at the St. Paul Rec. Centre from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Join them for an evening of painting in support of the humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine. Your finished project will be 10 X 10 inches. Feature artist Melanie Braund of Lac La Biche will lead you through the process of creating the beautiful national flower of Ukraine - the sunflower.
The cost for participants is $40 with payment to be made through e-transfer to: [email protected]. Your payment secures your spot.
This event is for ages 6 and up. Children up to age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Organizer Valerie Pratch said the goal is to have 100 painters join in the session to create 100 sunflowers with all proceeds going to the Canadian-Ukraine Foundation to support that organization’s relief efforts in Ukraine.
Pratch said three tickets have been set aside for those who would like to participate but cannot afford the registration fee. Please contact the arts foundation through the email noted above.
