Playgrounds reopen in St. Paul

ST. PAUL - A number of playgrounds in St. Paul opened over the weekend, following the installation of signs to warn people to be cautious while using the equipment.

More signs will be installed this week at recreation areas in St. Paul. On Friday, CAO Kim Heyman said the municipality was waiting for signs that will go up at the pickleball and tennis courts.

Playgrounds and other recreation spaces were closed early this spring due to measures being taken to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The province is now in Phase 1 of its relaunch strategy, which means some businesses and other public spaces are slowly reopening.
