RCMP investigate armed robbery with sword at Nap Liquor store

On Tuesday night, Cold Lake RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Nap Liquor store in Cold Lake South. The weapon used in the incident is believed to be a sword.

COLD LAKE –  Following an armed robbery at the Nap Liquor store in Cold Lake South that occurred Tuesday evening, Cold Lake RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect and vehicle involved. 

According to RCMP, at about 9 p.m. on Oct. 19, Cold Lake RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at the liquor store.  

“The male suspect entered the business masked with what a witness believed to be a sword and demanded money,” say police. 

The suspect then left the business with two bottles of liquor into a blue Ford F150 extended cab with three other unknown occupants.  

Extensive patrols were carried out in the area following the robbery, but the suspects were not located, stated the RCMP report. 

Police confirm that no one was hurt in the incident.  

The male suspect is described as being approximately 5ft 11in with a medium complexion.  

During the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a grey baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans. 

Cold Lake RCMP are asking the public if they have information related to the robbery, or can identify the male suspect in the photos, to contact them at 780-594-3302 or any local police.
