RCMP seek four suspects connected home invasion and shooting in Cold Lake

Cold Lake RCMP continue to search for suspects connected to an alleged home invasion that took place over the weekend and resulted in a victim being shot in the foot. Police do not believe this was a random act.

COLD LAKE – On Saturday evening at about 10 p.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a Cold Lake residence. 

When officers attended, they found that a 39-year-old man had been shot in the foot at a home located in the area of 50 Ave. between 45 St. and 41 St. 

“Four suspects are alleged to have forcefully gained entry to a residence and demanded drugs from the victim and was shot when unable to do so,” according to RCMP.  

The suspects reportedly fled in a white four-door car, described as a newer model vehicle.  

The victim was taken by EMS to hospital with a serious but non-life threatening injury.   

Cold Lake RCMP made extensive patrols of the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle or suspects connected to the incident. 

Police do not believe this was a random act. They add that there is no danger to the public.
