St. Paul 4-H club hosts communication day

St. Paul 4-H Multi Club members who placed near the top at the club's Communication Day will move on to Districts in St. Lina on March 13.

ST. PAUL - February was a busy month for the St. Paul 4-H Multi Club.

The club started February with its monthly 4-H meeting. Then, on Feb. 21, the club had its annual winter activity. The Sheep Project planned a day of ice fishing for everyone but the cold weather kept members inside.

Instead, the club went bowling and enjoyed pizza instead. All members had a lot of fun.

Feb. 27 was the Multi Club's Communication Day. A total of 27 members entertained the crowd with speeches and presentations.

Congratulations to all of the members on their achievement.

The top finishers in each category were:

First in Junior Presentation - Kurt Yaremko with 'Grain Farming Machinery and Equipment'

First in Intermediate Presentation - Ethan Yaremko with 'GOATS are the G. O. A. T'

First in Senior Presentation - Mercedes Trefenanko with 'Joy, Grumpy, Anxiety, Fear'

First in Junior Speech - Payslee Trefenanko with 'On Top of the World'

Third in Intermediate Speech - Tyson Trefenanko with 'America’s Favourite Sport'

Good luck to all of the members moving on to Districts on March 13 in St. Lina. And thank you to the four senior members who acted as emcees for the day.

A huge thank you to all the judges, volunteers and to ALTALINK for continually supporting 4-H Alberta Communication Events.

In March, all the members will be a busy month working on their project activities.
