UPDATED: Public helps identify suspect

On Jan. 7, St. Paul RCMP released a photo of a break and enter suspect from a break and enter investigation near Ashmont occurring around Jan. 5, 2020.

Shortly after releasing the suspect's photo St. Paul RCMP received numerous calls and tips with the suspect's identity. RCMP subsequently arrested and charged the suspect.

Joshua Darryl Pepin, 30, of the County of St. Paul was charged with the following:

-Break and Enter
-Possession of property obtained by crime
-Fail to Comply (x3)

Pepin was taken before a Justice of The Peace and released on $100 cash bail. He was expected to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Jan. 9.

Original Story:

On Jan. 5, while investigating a stolen vehicle near Ashmont, St. Paul RCMP discovered a break and enter at an adjacent seasonal property.  The property had been ransacked and a number of items stolen. The owner of the property had surveillance cameras on site which captured an image of the suspect.
