Summer kick-off party spotlights Lac La Biche Region

The shape of a deer's head and antlers is the new image that Lac La Biche County is highlighting for its tourism marketing.

LAC LA BICHE - The shape of a deer's head and antlers is the new image that Lac La Biche County is highlighting for its tourism marketing.

The Lac La Biche Region celebrated a Summer Kick-off on Thursday afternoon, showcasing municipal programming and municipal tourist locations — including the one where the celebration was happening. Inside the newly-constructed Community Facility at Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park, municipal staff offered pamphlets and souveneirs to visitors wanting to learn more about the region.

With 150 lakes and 1,500 camping locations within a 50-mile radius, the afternoon offered countless options for four-season tourism in the region.

With the smooth waters of Lac La Biche lake and a mid-spring blue-sky day as the backdrop, visitors enjoyed cold drinks and barbecue food as they listened to the songs of local band Girlz with Guitarz.

The new Lac La Biche Region marketing strategy and the new logo was created by municipal staff and contracted consultants.
