Officers pulled over the vehicle and arrested the occupants without incident just before 6 p.m.

“A search incidental to their arrest revealed they were in possession of methamphetamine and firearms,” stated RCMP in a press release.

A 25-year-old woman from Cold Lake faces charges of possession of meth and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and seven offences related to the firearms that were allegedly found in the vehicle.

She was released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in court on May 24.

A 29-year-old man from Cold Lake has been charged with the same nine offences related to drugs and firearm possession, as well as five additional counts of failing to comply with a release condition.

He remains in custody while he waits for his next court appearance.

The shooting that took place in Cold Lake on April 15, remains under investigation, Joannie Crevier, the operations clerk for the Cold Lake RCMP detachment, told Lakeland This Week.
