In the cold November rain

LAKELAND - Typically, it's snow storms blanketing the region in November, but this morning freezing rain caused slippery roads throughout the Lakeland.

School buses were cancelled by a number of area school divisions.

By mid-morning, the ice that had accumulated on the trees in the St. Paul area was already melting off the branches, making it sound like rain was again falling - but it wasn't.

Turn up your volume and listen to the above video, as ice melts off the branches and falls onto the crisp fallen leaves on the ground.
