Three individuals arrested on warrants, stolen vehicle recovered

Three individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants on Dec. 1, and a truck stolen from Saskatchewan was also recovered by police.

LAKELAND - Several RCMP departments worked together to arrest three individuals who were wanted on outstanding warrants on Dec. 1, in the area of Frog Lake and Fishing Lake.

"Elk Point RCMP, with the assistance of the RCMP Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, St. Paul RCMP police dog services, Cold Lake RCMP police dog services, and RCMP K Division air services conducted a warrant apprehension effort in the area of Frog Lake First Nation and Fishing Lake Métis Settlement," on Dec. 1, according to information from RCMP. 

Police located and arrested three individuals who were wanted on outstanding warrants. RCMP also recovered a 2021 Ford truck that was stolen near Pierceland, Saskatchewan on Nov. 27.

“This apprehension effort was an excellent example of multiple RCMP units collaborating to safely locate and arrest high risk individuals wanted on outstanding warrants. The RCMP encourages the public to report any crime and/or suspicious activity to their local police,” says Cst. Cory Tourand of the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit.

Bobby Lacombe, 28, a resident of Fishing Lake Métis Settlement is facing new charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and flight from a peace office. Lacombe was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is Dec. 15 in St. Paul.

Keely Saskatchewan, 21, a resident of Fishing Lake Métis Settlement, was released after a hearing with conditions and is set to appear in court on Dec.  22 in St. Paul.

Byron Crane, 39, a resident of Frog Lake First Nation, is facing new charges of obstructing a police officer, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and theft over $5,000. Crane was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is Dec. 22 in St. Paul.
