The first snowfall of the season is expected as early as Oct. 6 in Bonnyville and St. Paul, according to the Weather Network's long-term forecast.
In Bonnyville, about a centimetre of snow is expected on Friday, Oct. 6, just as overnight temperatures are thought to dip below freezing and reach -4.
As temperatures are expected to hover around 0 for the days following, another centimetre is predicted to fall on Sunday, Oct. 8, and potentially another centimetre on Oct. 10.
Meanwhile in St. Paul, the first snowfall isn't expected until Oct. 8, however overnight temperatures are expected to reach the negatives as early as Oct. 5 and continue on until at least Oct. 10.
Residents of Lac La Biche may see snow as early as Oct. 5, the Weather Network is forecasting, as well as more snow on Oct. 6, 8, and 10.
