A winter storm warning issued by Environment Canada continues through the northeast parts of the province this morning with heavy snowfall and windy conditions.
Total accumulations are expected to be in the area of 20 to 30 cm. in the region. Snowfall should taper off later this afternoon into this evening, according to Environment Canada .
Roads are in poor driving condition and motorists are encouraged to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
"Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow."
St. Paul Education, Aspen View Public Schools, Northern Lights Public Schools and Lakeland Catholic School Division have cancelled school bus service today although schools are open.
