Four local hockey players will hit the ice in the 2019 Peewee Prospect Cup. Ismail Abougouche, Jacob Labant, Cash Capjack, and Cael Charlton from the Lakeland Panthers peewee AA team were successful in their tryouts for the tournament.

Bonnyville will have representation on the ice at a national-level. Local Ali Macaulay was named a member of the Alberta National Hockey Team for the second year in a row.

Fans will have the chance to cheer on two hometown boys after the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs signed a second local player to their roster. Bonnyville-native Austin Saint will be sporting the Pontiac jersey for the 2019/20 season.

This upcoming summer will mark the inaugural season of the Lakeland Men’s Fastball League.

Local faces will be representing Bonnyville on Football Alberta's teams this year. Quarterback Silas Fagnan was chosen to be part of the Senior Bowl, while offensive linemen Kistin and Navarone Watchmaker were announced for the U17 roster.
