The Cold Lake Ice have a new name in the net for their final playoff series against the Wainwright Bisons. The first two games of the series came on Friday, Mar. 13 and Sunday, Mar.

Two games into the Battle River Hockey League Championship series and it is quite clear the Bonnyville Sr. Pontiacs and Tofield Satellites do not like each other.

This year’s edition of the Junior High SPAA Finals featured a rumble in the jungle, as the intensity ratcheted up between the two girls’ teams and the game came down to the dying seconds of the fourth quarter.

A three-point weekend capped off the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs regular season and solidified a third place finish in the AJHL North Division.

The Cold Lake Ice kicked off their second playoff series on home ice on Thursday against the Killam Wheat Kings. Despite having an extra opponent on the ice, the ref, Cold Lake pulled ahead 2-0 in the series after a second game on Saturday.
