LAC LA BICHE - Minor hockey goaltenders from across the region took part in a weekend of goalie-only skills training at the Lac La Biche Bold Center.
Hosted by the Lac La Biche Minor Hockey Association, a goalie development crew from St. Albert-based Gold in the Net was brought into the community for two days of group sessions. The Saturday and Sunday schedule included on-ice, classroom and dry-land training.
The weekend event comes as local teams have started practice skates for the upcoming minor hockey season. COVID-19 restrictions from the provincial government and municipal officials are continuing to allow youth sports inside the Bold Center — with restrictions in place.
