LAC LA BICHE - The Lac La Biche U11-2 Clippers dropped their final games of their Northeastern Alberta Hockey League season over the weekend. Both losses were on home ice at the Bold Center.
The Clippers fell behind in their Saturday afternoon game with the division-leading Consort Comets, and couldn't claw back
The Clippers were hoping to bounce back from the loss in Sunday morning's game with the Cold Lake Ice, and despite scoring the opening goal, and battling a back-and-forth game for two periods, the Ice moved ahead in the third, winning 11-6.
The weekend games boosted the Comets' impressive season standings to 22 wins in 26 games. The Ice moved to an 11- 24-3 record, and the Clippers dropped to eight wins and 18 losses, closing out the season in eighth place of their nine-team division.
