LAC LA BICHE - The Lac La Biche and District Curling Club's Mixed Curling Bonspiel drew 28 teams to the rings for the end-of-season annual tournament.
Taking over the Bold Center rinks, teams from across the region played and partied through the first weekend of April, leading to last Sunday afternoon's final games.
The weekend featured on-ice and off-ice activities for teams, including a banquet supper and dance held at the Bold Center's Community Room on Saturday night.
This year's A Event winning team was Cold Lake's Rod Oullette rin, beating out the Pat Meyer crew from Lac La Biche in the finals.
The B Event winners were Lac La Biche's Rosaire Tardif rink beating Jared Mouille's team from Sherwood Park.
The C Event final game was an all-local affair with the Kyle Beniuk team winning over the Caitlin Beniuk rink.
The Mixed Bonspiel marks the end of the community's curling season at the Lac La Biche club. League play and bonspiels begin again in October.
