GALLERY: Canadiens take on Bisons in exhibition game

The Canadiens beat the Bisons 5-2 on Friday night at the Clancy Richard Arena.

ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Canadiens Jr. B hockey team took to the ice at the Clancy Richard Arena on Friday night in an exhibition game against the Wainwright Bisons.

The Canadiens pulled ahead early on and never looked back, winning the match-up 5-2. The regular North Eastern Alberta Jr. B Hockey League season is set to start this weekend, with the Canadiens travelling to Wainwright on Friday, then hosting a home opener on Saturday night against the Lloydminster Bandits.

Fans were able to attend the Sept. 24 exhibition game, and the club has been directed to operate at a third capacity to abide by public health measures in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Until we receive further instruction on this matter, the Town of St. Paul has granted us the permission to operate at a third fire code capacity and ensure all arena visitors wear masks. We will continue to update you all as more information becomes available," reads a message from the club.
