Despite some strong winds and other challenges, the St. Paul Lions won the game 21-6, beating the Bonnyville Voyageurs.

ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Lions are currently ranked in third place across the province among all Tier IV football teams.

Teams in the Tier IV category have school populations of 449 or less. According to the Oct. 24 Football Alberta weekly ranking report, just Sexmith and Drumheller football teams have a better record in the category.

On Oct. 22, St. Paul beat the Bonnyville Voyageurs by a score of 21-6. The teams had to battle through wind gusts during the evening game under the lights at the St. Paul Regional High School football field, but the home team found success, despite the challenges.

Next up, the Lions will take on Lloydminster Comprehensive High School, a Tier II team that is currently sitting in 10th place in the province in that category. The game is set for Friday in Lloydminster.
