GALLERY: U18 ladies take silver at home tournament

The U18 St. Paul Canadiens women's team welcomed teams to town from across the province for a weekend tournament.

ST. PAUL - They may be a young team, but the St. Paul Canadiens U18 women's hockey team managed to battle through their home tournament over the weekend and made their way to the A finals on Sunday afternoon.

The team is made up of a number of young players along with a few older players. The Canadiens welcomed teams from across the province to St. Paul for the tournament - with teams coming in from Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Airdrie, Camrose, Edmonton, Olds, along with the Lacoka Warriors from Lacombe/Ponoka area.

St. Paul met up against the Olds Grizzlys in the A final on Sunday, losing by a tight score of 2-1.
