BONNYVILLE - A 65-year-old man had his UTV towed after Bonnyville police conducted a roadside check on Dec. 8.

Just before 11 p.m., an RCMP member was patrolling in the area of 54th Avenue in Bonnyville and conducted a roadside check with a nearby UTV, also known as a side-by-side.

"The driver was determined to be suspended," according to police.

The 65-year-old male was charged due to operating the UTV while suspended and the UTV was towed for 30 days.

"Bonnyville RCMP would like to remind motorists that while operating an off highway vehicle, the Rules of the Road, the Off Highway Vehicle Act and Traffic Safety Act laws still apply."

One headlight

In the early morning hours of Dec. 8, police pulled over a car because the vehicle was missing a headlight. A man from Fishing Lake was found to be suspended and was charged accordingly.

"The vehicle he was driving was towed for 30 days," according to RCMP.
