The family of Jimmy Bloom, of Cold Lake, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce his sudden departure from this world on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the age of 37 years.

Jimmy is lovingly survived by his mother: Danyele; five older brothers; Scott (Katherine), Jason (Kim), Patrick, John Jr. (Christy), Kevin (Billie); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jimmy is gone into the arms of his father: John Bloom, who taught him his great love for fishing. They no doubt already have a great fishing plan underway!

Jimmy was born in Ontario, the youngest of the Bloom family. Since 2010, his life journey has included a long list of health struggles, however, he was also touched with real life; he was tender-hearted and a true giver of himself to others. He touched the lives of many in remarkable ways. He valued loyalty, friendship and the power of a hug! He always had time to give one of his loving 'bear' hugs to his family and friends. With hearts full of treasured memories, he will be forever remembered and loved by those he marked with his life.

Jimmy's family is comforted by the fact that he is finally free from the cares of this world and is no longer suffering. They live for the day when they will all be reunited.

A Celebration of Jimmy's life will take place at a later date once COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. At this time, the family asks that everyone takes a moment in honor of Jimmy to hug your family and friends a little bit tighter.

Jimmy was a heart and kidney recipient; memorial tributes in his memory may be made to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, University Hospital Foundation, Donor Office - Room 1H1.91, WMC, 8440-112 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 2B7 or the Kidney Foundation Of Canada, Southern Alberta Branch Office, 6007 1A Street SW, Calgary, Alberta T2H 0G5.
