Born January 8, 1943 in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Lillian travelled at a very young age to the west coast onto Vancouver Island with her family in a car including her parents Camille and Mary Rose Elida Ballegeer, brothers Henry, Roger, and sisters, Elsa and Linda in the middle of winter leaving their farming life behind.
Lillian, our Mom, sadly passed July 26, 2024 from Cancer at the young age of 81.
Our Mom was the most caring, loving and compassionate person who loved her family and we always came first. Her talents and passions were coloring, reading, being a counsellor to those who needed and speaking long hours with her family, always putting others ahead of herself. Mom taught us how to Love, understand, be compassionate, have faith, work hard and to follow our dreams whatever they may be. We grew up in a home where Mom dedicated her time to cook, clean, bake, have fresh laundry off the clothes line, plant large wonderful gardens, help us with our homework and most of all give regular hugs to us all. She is the best Mom anyone could hope for and will be dearly missed. A special thankyou to the caregivers of our Mom by the St Paul Extendicare in St Paul. They were amazing in every way to care so much for our parents who both resided there until their passing.
Lillian is survived by her children Jeffrey, Janice, David, and Robert, her brothers Henry and Roger, and sister Linda, their spouses and children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. As per Lillian's wishes her cremation has taken place and her final resting place is in the County of St Paul, Alberta at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery beside her loving husband Robert Charles Francis
A Celebration of life will be held September 21, 2024 at 11am in the Multi Purpose room at St Paul recreational centre 4802 53rd street, St Paul, AB
