On July 1, 2021 Mr. Ovila “Red” Germain of St. Paul passed
away at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his loving wife of
51 years, Jean (Jeannette) Germain; their 5 children, Shane (Karen),
Shannon (Daryl) Fernhout, Raquel (Mel) Derksen, Eric (Lianne)
& Barrett (Jennifer) 17 grandchildren, Sherida (Kent), Brett, Zea,
Owen, Jake, Jessie, Julie, Wade, Aron, Luke, Axel, Clarissa, Maria,
Cloey, Zack, Dominic & Jacqueline; siblings, Roger (Joanne),
Francoise (Ted) Ballard, Denis, Denise (Peter) Parranto & Raymond;
numerous nieces, nephews & in-laws. Ovila was predeceased
by his parents, Zea & Aristide Germain; brothers, Clement,
Jean-Paul, Alphonse, Ronald, Octave & Conrad; sisters, Diane Gauthier
& Aline Lapalme; & numerous in-laws and relatives. A Mass of
Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at
St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier
was the celebrant with interment in Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Roman Catholic Cemetery, Flat Lake. If desired, donations may be
