He is survived by his loving mother, Jean Hays; sister, Heather Syrnyk; brother, Darren (Stacey); brother-in-law, Doug Houlden; nieces & nephews, Shannon (Randy) Quinney, Sheldon (Melissa) Weinmeier, Kayla DeGroot, Tia Rae Houlden, Shayla Hilliard, Bronwyn Hays, Evan Hays, Shalise (John) Jespersen & Jennifer Syrnyk; great-nieces & nephews, Kieran Quinney, Hadley Weinmeier, Parker Weinmeier, Rylyn Quinney-Crane, Ryker Quinney-Crane, Hayley Syrnyk & Hayden Connely; 2 uncles, Doug Hays & Tom (Phyllis) Gray; aunt, Sandra (Harold) Richardson. James was predeceased by his father, Glen; sister, Kimberly Houlden; brother-in-law, Rick Syrnyk; paternal grandparents, Doug & Olive; maternal grandparents, Earl & Marian Gray; uncle, Garth Gray.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating.
