Born on February 12, 1941, he lived in St. Vincent where he exercised his passion, farming. He worked with determination & pride with his parents, his brothers and his nephews for 65 years. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, his devotion and loyalty to his family, his patience and perseverance in adversity, and his faithful & loving service to his parish and community.

Accompagné de son frère, à l’hôpital Ste-Thérèse de St-Paul, le 18 avril 2020 est décédé à l’âge de 79 ans, M. Gilbert Hébert, demeurant à St-Vincent. Il a vécu avec foi, espérance et charité. Il retrouve ceux et celles qui l’ont précédés à la vie éternelle; ses parents, Maurice Hébert et Régina Brousseau; ses frères, Bernard, Rodrigue, Georges (Gilberte) et Jules; sa nièce, Nathalie. He is survived by his sisters, Georgette (his godmother) & Claire; & his brothers,  Louis (Julienne), Philippe (Angel), Ovide (Denise), Raymond (Rita); sister-in-law, Victoria; numerous nieces and nephews, especially his partners at Chez Hébert, Claude Lampron & Chantal with their children, Claudie-Anne (Guilherme), Nicolas, Benjamin, Olivier, Pascal, David, Mia & Antoine, and their grandchildren, Jean & Régina.

A heartfelt thanks to all those who cared for him by honouring his determination and his courage. A Funeral Service was held at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul with Reverend Father André Semusambi officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in St. Vincent Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Vincent, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or Haying in the 30’s (Cancer Support Society) c/o 5626 - 51 Street, St. Paul, AB  T0A 3A1.
