It is with heavy hearts the family of Iva Wilda Hogg announce her passing at Bonnyville Extendicare at the age of 91 years.
She was born in Kincardine, Ontario to William and Ruby Smith and grew up at their tile yard in Kingarf, Ontario, with two brothers Charles and Bruce. When she
moved West to work she met and married Harold Hogg. They were blessed with a large family of 12 children. Raising them for a number of years on Harold’s Dad’s homestead in Kegworth, Saskatchewan until they moved to Bonnyville in 1969.
She enjoyed a life well lived as a domestic engineer, chef, baker, birder, gardener, nurse, wife and mother extraordinaire! Birds, African Violets and other house plants, quiet grace, love of humour, kindness, strength, dedication to her husband’s health, beauty, straight forwardness, pride - these words speak of the beautiful person she was inside and out. She was loved by many and admired by all.We were blessed to know her, she was such a grand lady.
